Microabrasion

Air abrasion (Prep-Start H2O) is performed by a thin stream of special abrasive powder that is blown on the tooth under air pressure and water. It’s extremely conservative and saves tooth structure. Because it’s so gentle and doesn’t generate heat, noise or vibration, most of the time anesthesia is unnecessary.

Clinical case example: two teeth that have a small filling each, were treated with air abrasion (Prep-Start H2O ) without the use of any anesthetic, shots, or needles.
